Manager, Collections

Primary Objective of the Position:
The chosen candidate will be responsible for the end to end collection process and continuous improvement initiatives. The job holder will review and evaluate delinquent accounts, determining appropriate actions to be taken in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Communicate with customers regarding their outstanding debts, negotiating payment plans, settlements, or other resolutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• To develop and execute collection and recovery strategies and programs as set forth by management
• Create, implement, and monitor action plans
• Monitor the ongoing performance and collection aging
• Produce management reports as needed
• Analyzing collections processes, centralizing, identifying, and implementing improvements
• Collecting on outstanding invoices in accordance with set procedures, standards, and performance metrics
• Liaising with the Controller on Accounts Receivable reconciliations
• Liaising with the sales and customer service departments
• Assisting with internal and external reviews/audits and other compliance reporting requirements
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ collections experience in a fast-paced corporate administrative/accounting role
• Post-Secondary education and college diploma is preferred
• Computer skills including proficiency with: Microsoft Office; client relationship management applications
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational & time-management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple files and deadlines
• Superior oral and written communication skills
