What you'll be doing.

Contributes to the overall success of the Digital Learning & Content Development Team and Global Learning CoE ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Leads Enterprise-wide governance, planning and execution across the Digital Learning Platforms portfolio. Digital Learning Platforms include an Enterprise Learning Management System (LMS), Learning Experience Platform (LXP), Social Learning, Intranet, Content Management and Virtual Classroom platforms. Position responsibilities include strategic governance, business analysis, solution design, project work-package leadership, system configuration, and incident management. Additionally, this role provides consultative guidance to learning team members, business subject matter experts, operations teams throughout the program development cycle. Also required to demonstrate high technical proficiency and business aptitude through all phases of the project life cycle, balancing the 'always' with the 'new'.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Lead operational governance and strategic oversight for Digital Learning Platforms ensuring availability, accuracy, currency and business alignment.

• Define, maintain and implement platform standards, operational processes and a multi stakeholder governance framework for all Digital Learning Platforms.

• Lead level 2 support for all platforms while managing issue resolution from identification to resolution. This includes issue investigation, analysis, prioritization and resolution for all issues including level 3 issue resolution with vendors and / or technology.

• Lead system upgrade and change projects from intake, to requirements definition, development management with vendors / Technology, testing and implementation. Also required to support project prioritization and resource allocation relative to business priorities and established annual system roadmaps.

• Work directly with business owners as the business analyst to facilitate business process definition, requirements definition, solution design, test plan development and implementation plans for Digital Learning solutions.

• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Technology Management, Computer Science, Information Technology / Management, Business or Digital Communications
• In-depth knowledge / experience with Learning Management Systems, Learning Experience Platforms, Content Libraries (i.e. LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight, get Abstract, EdX), Virtual Classroom Platforms, Content Management Systems and intranet platforms (Jam, Jive).
• Solid experience with e-learning standards, AICC, SCORM, XAPI
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent presentation skills.
• High energy, strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Spanish language skills an asset
