Position Title:Manager in Training
Job Overview:
Simplechic Jewelry is a fast-growing Alberta local jewelry brand. Currently, we have Four storefronts at CF Chinook Mall, Market Mall, Cross Iron Mills, and West Edmonton Mall. We are planning to open more locations in the foreseen future.
As a Retail Manager in Training, you will undergo a structured program designed to develop your skills and knowledge in retail management. Working closely with experienced retail managers, you will gain practical experience in various aspects of retail operations, including customer service, sales, inventory management, team leadership, and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Learn to provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving complaints to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Sales and Merchandising: Assist in driving sales through effective merchandising strategies, product placement, and promotional activities.
- Inventory Management: Learn to manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and ensure accurate tracking of merchandise.
- Team Leadership: Develop leadership skills by assisting in the recruitment, training, and supervision of retail staff, as well as fostering a positive work environment.
- Financial Management: Gain exposure to budgeting, sales forecasting, and cost control measures to optimize store profitability.
- Operational Efficiency: Assist in ensuring smooth store operations by implementing policies and procedures, monitoring performance metrics, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Visual Merchandising: Learn to create visually appealing displays and maintain store presentation standards to enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Compliance: Understand and adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to safety, security, and legal compliance.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field is preferred.
- Must have previous retail experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Leadership potential and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Training Program:
The Retail Manager in Training program typically includes a combination of on-the-job training for retail management roles. Participants will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced retail managers/owner and may rotate through different departments or store locations to gain exposure to various aspects of retail operations.
Career Path:
Upon successful completion of the training program, individuals may be promoted to Retail Manager positions within the company, where they will assume greater responsibilities for overseeing store operations, driving sales, and leading a team of retail associates. Further career advancement opportunities may include regional or district management roles within the retail organization.
Pay:
Starting 17 CAD/Hour to start
Salary 40000 - 50000/year + team commission after completing the training session.

Salary: $38,400.00-$48,000.00 per year
