Manager, IT & Operational Risk Management

What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT &Ops Risk Management, this role supports the execution of the Wealth Management Technology & Solutions (WMTS) Operational Risk Annual Plan and execution of Operational Risk Management (ORM) and IT Risk management within WMTS. The role is also responsible for participating in planning and managing Operational Risk Management programs and processes as they flow across WMTS.

Individual contributor with advanced understanding of IT & OperationalRisk Management practices, providing control and advisory services to application development, support teams and the Wealth Management Business. Services provided cover IT & Operational Risk analysis, risk awareness & advisory, risk & compliance exposure reporting and audIT & regulatory response.

What will you do?

• Execute identification, assessment and treatment recommendations for IT & Operational risks

• Responsible for execution and completion of select security exemptions acceptance workflow process from start to finish

• Contribute to execution of Risk and Control Self Assessments for WMTS

• Contribute to the review of new and changed RBC IT policies & standards and identify impact on WMTS applications and processes

• Contribute to the delivery of the IT & Operational risk awareness program

• Contribute to providing Risk management reports e.g risk profile reports, finding extension reports etc

• Support and advise WMTS on Operational Risk matters

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 5+ years of experience in IT and Operational Risk Management processes, methods and tools

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure & software security architectures

• 3+ years of experience in supplier Risk Management

• 3+ years of experience in data encryption technologies (e.g. database encryption, VPN, TLS)

• Demonstrable technical knowledge and experience covering the operating systems (e.g. Unix, Windows, zOS) and database systems (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2)

• Demonstrate understanding of the IT Service management and change management process.

Nice-to-have

• CRISC, CISSP, CCSP or CISA certifications

• Knowledge of GRC tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Archer)

• Knowledge of Wealth Management/Financial Services industry

• Demonstrate understanding of Networking and Firewall configurations.
