- Leading a team of Raw material experts, business partner managers, and supplier managers.
- Managing budgets, forecasting, and reporting for the local office.
- Identifying and onboarding new suppliers and mining projects.
- Negotiating contracts with major and junior mining companies in Canada.
- Establishing a robust network within the raw material sector.
- Conducting market studies, feasibility studies, and business cases to develop and assess complex cooperation models.
- Supporting local suppliers and greenfield projects during the ramp-up phase.
- Ensuring supplier industrialization processes are streamlined.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align activities and objectives.
- Eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- International mindset with an interest in global work and diverse teams.
- MUST have 5+ years' experience in battery manufacturing experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field focused on Raw Materials for high voltage batteries; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- 10+ years of professional experience in sourcing and purchasing, especially within Raw Materials for high voltage batteries.
- 2+ years of people and team management experience.
- Expert knowledge of Raw Materials for high voltage batteries and upstream battery production processes.
- Experience in contract negotiation, business development, and strategic procurement.
- Proven ability to manage competitive tenders and drive successful outcomes.
- Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers and a track record of driving performance.
- Proficiency in budget and forecast management.
- Excellent presentation, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite or related software.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% locally, nationally, and internationally, with flexibility for time zone differences and occasional overtime.
