Education: D.S.W., B.A. in a related field, or proven equivalency by an accredited college or university.
Requirements:
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C with AED Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) WHMIS
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Availability of an insured, safe and reliable vehicle Vulnerable Sector Screening Check
- Asset qualifications/training: Management course of study
- Supervisory or management experience Demonstrated facilitation and advocacy skills
- Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector, preferably working with adults who have a developmental disability
- Good understanding of Personal Outcome Measures
- Good understanding of the services and supports to promote the social inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act and legislative requirements
- Demonstrated track record in team building and mentoring Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Excellent crisis management skills/conflict resolution/problem solving
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Proficiency with computers and Microsoft programs

Responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day operations of the organization under your scope of responsibility
· Supervise a team while maintaining clear and consistent performance expectations including adherence to the Employment Standards Act, Health and Safety Act and company policies and procedures
· Hire and train new employees
· Prepare and submit evaluation reports
· Resolve challenges and issues
· Work with people supported and their families
· Monitor the provision and quality of services
· Manage department budget, petty cash, payroll, scheduling
· Participate in professional development and related training
· Promote valued citizenship and inclusion within the community through the establishment of positive relationships, and social, recreational, leisure, cultural, educational and community- based activities
· Ensure supports to people are respectful of their dignity, rights and well-being and promote safe and healthy environments
· Ensure personal outcomes and individual support plans have been identified and established for each individual
· Participate as a member of the On-Call team
· Regular use of software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office, AIMS, internal database, and scheduling software.
· Other duties as assigned
HOURS: The position requires flexible hours including evenings and weekends and holidays.
