What is the opportunity?
This position will primarily focus on oversight of the day-to-day operations to administer new and in-force business with a distinct focus on a superior client experience, while providing support to various interdependent business units. It also plays a key role in assisting with the execution of strategic initiatives to continue to grow the business and to enhance the brand and reputation of RBC Life Insurance Company.
What will you do?
• Manage the day-to-day operations and resolve any operational issues and or client service escalations
• Develop/review and document processes, procedures and controls, analyze and approve various reports ensuring controls are effective to meet risk, regulatory and compliance measures
• Oversight of monthly invoicing, requesting money movement, support accounting reconciliation and investigations
• Support oversight of annual tax reporting activities and audit processes
• Develop and manage effective relationships with both internal and external partners
• Recommend features in product design and assess required operational needs to ensure operational delivery
What will you need to succeed?
• Minimum 5 years experience with the Wealth Management business (Segregated Funds and Payout Annuities) and marketplace required to administer a multi-faceted and complex operation, including registered products and applicable taxation knowledge
• Collaborative, team player, people driven, and client focused with superior customer service skills
• Quickly adapt to changing circumstances and various competing priorities
• Able to build partnerships to impact and influence others in order to achieve collective results
• Expert level knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft product suite
• Those fluently bilingual in English and French will be prioritized as it is highly recommended
