Position Title: Manager, Purchase to Pay - NextGen
Team and Location: Finance, Shared Services – Calgary, AB
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director Finance, the Manager, Purchase to Pay - NextGen will be a key member of the Purchase to Pay team in Finance Shared Services. This critical role will build strong relationships with Process Owners and business units across Parkland Canada, Parkland USA, and international regions to effectively support Parklands NextGen ERP transformation project as part of the Procure to Pay end to end workstream. The Manager will be responsible for gathering requirements, performing process gap analysis, developing detailed process design, developing performance dashboards, and executing benchmarking strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Build a strong partnership with the Regional Process Managers to facilitate alignment on standardization of the Procure to Pay (P2P) end to end processes, focusing on continuous improvement
- Develop integrated functions and seek synergies cross-functionally
- Assess process maturity, executes benchmarking, propose and execute improvement action plans
- Define KPI’s, SLA’s, OLA’s which are aligned to business clients expectations and approved for execution
- Act on behalf of the Deputy Global Process Owner during NextGen transformation meetings to make decisions and or recommendations related to the P2P workstream regarding change initiatives, process design decisions or similar
Operational
- Collaborate with the business to understand and document business requirements for P2P processes: master data, sourcing, purchasing, accounts payable
- Perform gap analysis between current and future state business processes, identifying any potential barriers to change, regional differentiators or variations required from standard process
- Define and develop detailed process design based on data analysis
- Deliver results using a continuous improvement mindset
- Participate in User Acceptance testing
- Manage KPIs, SLAs, OLAs with the Process Owners and other interdependent Process Managers
- Update process documentation, create performance dashboards, ad hoc reporting
Leadership
- Design and implement change that enables quick adoption and high productivity
- Create an environment where people are encouraged to develop, continuously learn, and are supported to innovate and try new things
- Build efficient and effective processes, leveraging technology
- Constantly\y look for opportunities to digitally transform P2P
- Assess potential risks or challenges prior to making changes
- Build excitement, enthusiasm, and momentum for change
- Build organizational bridges and ensure collaboration across the enterprise
- Facilitate connection of the right people and functions to achieve overall business goals
Qualifications & Skills:
- CPA, CA
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in progressive and responsible roles
- Experience in leading shared services teams an asset, Accounts Payable / Supply Chain Management
- Experience in working in an environment underpinned by strong SLA (Service Level Agreements)
- Previous SAP ERP implementation experience an asset
- Pervious Procure to Pay workflow automation implementation experience an asset
- JDE, Great Plains, PDI and Allegro system experience an asset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with focus on being an Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated capability to serve the business as a highly valued client
- Bilingual written and oral – French and English an asset
