What will your typical day look like?

 

The Quality & Risk Manager reports to the Quality & Risk Management Leaders to implement and support the strategic priorities set by the firm. In addition, support team members with initiating and rolling out of QRM programs leveraging change, communication, and stakeholders’ management experience to deliver excellent quality outcomes across the engagement lifecycle for our leaders and practitioners.  
Role Responsibilities: 

  • Support the OperateNext business with establishing, implementing, and monitoring Quality & Risk initiatives across the engagement lifecycle leveraging Global and other business best practice.
  • Work with leaders to advance quality and risk adoption including participate and contribute to annual planning, developing communications, delivering training, publishing reports to stakeholders to advance Canada’s practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter specialist on Quality & Risk programs, tools and      processes to support leaders and practitioners nationally and globally.
  • Help develop and support the QRM team with end-to-end initiatives across various domains to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the QRM group’s services. This includes development and implementation of guides, new tools, technology, and processes.
  • Help define and refine quality and risk processes to improve the business experience.
  • Design and develop Dashboards and Reporting - creating innovative ways to report to leaders and stakeholders on Quality & Risk performance, key indicators, proactive monitoring of risk and training using reporting tools such as Tableau and or PowerBI.
  • Build awareness and establish targeted communication through a variety of channels and media (e.g., newsletters, online, SharePoint, etc.) for a user-friendly Quality & Risk messaging.
  • Perform project planning and management activities including coordinating with various teams to ensure milestones are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Collaborate with other cross functional teams to advance training programs and initiatives for educating and supporting leaders and practitioners.
  • Mentor, guide, and support others in the team to deliver optimal results and experience for our people.
  • Support national coordination, planning and management of various initiatives.
  • Act as a role model to team members and others to foster high quality delivery standards.
  • Build and leverage a strong network within Deloitte to develop and integrate robust cross-business processes.

The National Quality & Risk Management (QRM) team provides specialized support to partners and staff in the areas of independence, Risk Management, ethics and compliance. Our focus is helping you succeed in delivering superior technical and high-quality client service while at the same time efficiently managing our reputational and financial risks. We are seeking the following success criteria for candidacy: 
 

  • Experienced and ability to deliver on responsibilities mentioned above.
  • 5+ years of related quality and risk working experience preferably in a mid to large professional services domain or a business-to-business environment
  • Ability to assume responsibilities related to project management, change management, communication management and training development methods
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work effectively with Leaders and in teams
  • Exhibit commitment to high quality work, including strong critical thinking skills, analytical abilities, and the capacity for lateral/creative thinking- identifying key issues, conducting analysis, and developing recommendations
  • Superior verbal, written communication and negotiation skills are an asset
  • Ability to develop and present innovative ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
  • Proven ability for developing and maintaining strong relationships with various levels of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated confidence in unstructured environments
  • Commitment to adopt ethical, privacy and confidentiality awareness and practices
  • Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment independently and in a group
  • Strong organization skills with an ability to prioritize work demands and achieve deadlines
  • Experience mentoring and managing technical team members
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau/PowerBI and SharePoint
  • Completed undergraduate University degree in business management, commerce or related  
  • Minimal travel may be required 
     

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
