MANAGER, TOTAL REWARDS


  • Under the leadership of the Director of Total Rewards and Organizational Effectiveness, you will work in close partnership with business leaders and the People & Culture team to inspire, develop, engage and support a high-performance team of business professionals with an expertise in HR Compensation and Total Rewards matters to deliver strategic and operational support while building strong business partnerships with leaders and trusting relationships with employees.

Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Supporting Western’s compensation strategy by participating in development and implementation of fixed and variable compensation programs.
  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to assist and provide direction with the analysis, review, development, and delivery of all new and amended total reward programs/materials.
  • Supporting the senior Total Rewards leader in leading the change management process and establish support from key stakeholders.
  • Creating and partnering in the design, implementation and continuous improvement of all of Western’s compensation and rewards programs.
  • Managing the annual salary band market reviews and senior leadership market reviews.
  • Leading and improving on the salary administration process, including market evaluations and annual merit program.
  • Partnering with Organizational Design team in guiding Western business teams in job architecture, including job titles, salary and bonus structures.
  • Managing the annual compensation cycles and focusing on the management and delivery of organization-wide bonus programs.
  • Creating, implementing and maintaining a standardized rewards and recognition program across the organization; responsible for communications, updating, best practice review and usage tracking, including reporting data and dashboard creation.
  • Partnering with business leaders and P&C management team to support strategies and implement tactical plans to accomplish the organization’s strategic goals.

  • Your proven experience leading a high performing team of Total Rewards professionals
  • Extensive experience as a compensation & benefits professional in a mid-size organization
  • Certified Compensation Professional designation is an asset
  • Effectively leading annual compensation cycles and focusing on the management and delivery of organization-wide bonus programs
  • Experience using HRIS systems and the Mercer Job Evaluation & Analysis Program an asset

Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hour/week

Location: Remote within Canada

Compensation Range: $100,000 – $135,000
