We are an industry leader in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of robust, high-performance bulk material handling solutions. In addition to our custom-designed product, we also design and manufacture a full line of hoisting equipment for truck dump body applications under the NORDIC trade name.

The Opportunity

As a Manual Machinistin our facility, you are motivated and energetic and work well in a team environment. You have strong versatility and the ability to creating quality parts on lathes and milling machines according to company plans and blueprints.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate metal parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform machining tasks
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
• Assemble components using mechanical knowledge and techniques
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes

Skills and Requirements

• Proficiency in manual machining techniques including turning, milling, and grinding
• Experience with CNC programming and operation is a plus
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software for blueprint reading and interpretation
• Ability to weld and perform basic fabrication tasks
• Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
• Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
