Role Summary**
The Technician role is an integral part of the organization. Must have a positive attitude, able to take direction and work well with team members.
We believe in continuing education of our Technicians. You will ensure implementation and compliance of health and safety, marina policies/procedures and our service offering to our members. The Technician will report directly to the Service Manager. This position maintains a regular schedule of Monday to Friday, however may be requested to work additional days during peak business, (launch/haul out etc.)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, maintain & repair all aspects of vessels
Winterize/Spring Commission engines, boat system & accessories
Perform sea trials to ensure proper function of the boat & motor system
Service calls to our customer on water locations
Provide quality customer service & work well with other team members
Diagnostic knowledge of both diesel & gas engines required
Ability to work on inboard and outboard engines
Highly motivated, punctual, well organized, attention to detail & a disciplined approach to work
Completes required paperwork associated with repairing vessels, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Must be able to take a job from start to finish and work independently
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Safe yard equipment operation
Required: Well groomed, professional looking with good customer service skills with positive helpful attitude
Required: Must have own tools and transportation Boat driving experience an asset

Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 44 per week

Experience:
- marine: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Marine Technician License? (required)
- Forklift Operator License? (preferred)
- Pleasure Craft Operators Card (preferred)
- CPR & First Aid Certification? (preferred)
