We are seeking a top-tier professional with an ambitious spirit coupled with a strong business sense and customer service approach as a Material Coordinator.

Reporting to the Manager, Heartland, the Material Coordinator will receive, ship, coordinate and maintain inventory for EnPower sites. This position has requirements to support capital projects, sustaining projects and ongoing operational requirements.

What You Get To Do:

  • Cleaned and prepared warehouse site for present and future material requirements.
  • Clean and maintain organization of the warehouse yard.
  • Maintain organization of yard materials, racking, shelving, and floor space.
  • Support contractors with receiving, moving materials and preparing outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain a working material log and ensure all paperwork is completed, sorted and available.
  • Entry of various inventory movements into the Maximo database.
  • Actively participate in adhering to safety measures on site.
  • Participate in site safety meetings.
  • Participate in the Hazard ID / Incident process.
  • Complete training as defined by position register on the Quality Management system.
  • Follow the Formal Hazard assessment with risks and proper controls.
  • Store, ship and receive materials as requested.
  • Dispense materials to contractors or EnPower resources.
  • Verify all material received have all MTRs and certificates.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and communicate any deficiencies, shortages, damages identified.
  • Train and assist contractors with ATCO Material Transfer procedures.
  • Monitor material delivery schedules and deliveries.
  • Assist in the revision of the MRR, MRI and OS&D Forms.
  • Streamline the process for transferring material to and from contractors.
  • Receive and monitor Operations material requirements.
  • Assist in forklift operating, material handling and administrative tasks as required to ensure accurate records and inventory counts.
  • Create and maintain an MTR log for site material.
  • Complete safe work processes as required.
  • Assisted in the creation of a new transfer document for transferring material from projects to operations.
  • Full utilization of the Maximo warehouse program; the intent of this program is to track and set permanent locations for all materials stored in the warehouse. All this information will be stored in the Maximo database.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years years related experience in yard materials, racking, shelving, and floor space.
  • Having a Highschool diploma is an asset
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, able to adapt to changing situations and develop creative and innovative ways to resolve issues.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and implement activities successfully.
