Title and Authority

: Mechanical Assembler

: This role reports directly to the General Manager. This role has no supervisory or managerial authority and no direct reports.

General Description of the Role

Mechanical Assemblers are responsible for the assembly of hydraulic sub-components and finished hydraulic equipment in a production assembly environment.

Role Accountabilities

· Assemble, mount, secure, and adjust hydraulic parts using various tools and equipment

· Examine hydraulic sub-assemblies and equipment for proper fit, function, and safety.

· Test and quality check components and finished hydraulic products

· Ensure parts meet internal and external specifications and standards

· Perform adjustments, repairs, and maintenance service of hydraulic equipment

· Take responsibility for work quality, efficiency, and continual improvement

· Practice safe work procedures and contribute to a clean work environment

· Utilize, maintain, or complete relevant production and quality control paperwork

· Attend training, production, and safety meetings

Specific Tasks

· Receive and interpret work order and product assembly drawings required to start job.

· Use the assembly order drawings to pick the required parts for the work order

· Assemble product in a timely fashion per the production schedule

· Test finished product and components using hydraulic press and rectify any quality control issues that are found

· Return completed work order and quality paperwork to supervisor

· Perform used equipment diagnostics and serving

· Pick, pack, and ship customer orders per schedule

· Other duties as assigned including but not limited to: General shop assistance, keeping shop organized, facilities and yard maintenance.

Skills and Experience/Qualifications

· Someone who has an understanding of mechanical systems and ability to read technical drawings.

· Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools and heavy lifting devices.

· Skilled in taking measurements, collecting data and recording information.

· Attentive to technical details and have a keen eye for quality standards.

· Someone who is health and safety conscious and strictly adhere to safety protocols.

· Able to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written.

· Hydraulic cylinder, valve assembly, and repair or equivalent mechanical experience

· AC/DC electrical circuit and controls assembly installation and diagnosis

· Must be able to lift and work with components up to 50lbs

· Reliable transportation to work.

· A valid forklift license

· Overhead crane experience

· Current first aid certification
