Job Description: As a Medical Billing Agent and junior accountant working remotely, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the revenue cycle. You will be responsible for accurately processing and entering medical claims, navigating Medical Billing, resolving billing discrepancies and ensuring timely reimbursement for healthcare services rendered. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ongoing communication with the lead accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing patient information for accuracy and completeness
- Generating and submitting medical claims
- Resolving billing discrepancies and inquiries
- Communicating with healthcare providers and the senior management.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Medical Billing regulations
Requirements:
- Experience with electronic medical records– in particular accuro
- Bachelor's degree or college degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in Medical Billing and coding.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
