Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule and confirm appointments using the office's scheduling system
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Assist with billing and coding tasks as needed
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in (EMR) Electronic Medical Records
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a medical office
- Experience with phone systems and handling multiple lines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
