Medical Office assistant/receptionist Job

Medicare Clinic is currently seeking a responsible ,reliable,Enthusiastic, experienced ,highly-motivated person with excellent communication skills

to join our practice as a medical office assistant/receptionist.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Answering telephones, greeting patients, and updating patient medical records

Taking patient’s heights and weights, preparing patients for examination and assisting physicians during examinations as needed

-Maintaining strict confidentiality according to the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA)

-Working with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and service

Applicant Requirements:

-Certificate of Medical Administrative Assistant/Clinical Office Assistant

-Knowledge of computer systems and applications, particularly Accuro EMR .

-Strong organizational and time-management skills

-Able to work in a fast paced environment

-Verbal and written communication skills

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

• Medical Receptionist: 1 year (required)

Ability to Commute:

• Winnipeg, MB R2P 1S7 (required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Winnipeg, MB R2P 1S7: Relocate before starting work (required)
