Brown’s Pharmacy is currently seeking a full-time Medical Supply Clerk to join our amazing medical supplies team. Operating within Brown’s Guardian Pharmacy, the medical supplies department coordinates home-based medical care deliveries for supplies, materials, and medications, as prescribed by healthcare professionals. *Please note that this position requires participation in our on-call rotation as well as working some Saturdays.*
Hours of operation:
- Monday to Friday 9am-6pm;
- Saturday 9am-5pm
- Sunday closed - on-call only
The ideal applicant will possess:
- Proven ability to communicate effectively; oral and written
- Basic working knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare supplies, an asset
- A strong attention to details and time management skills
- Demonstrated computer and technology skills, an asset
- Experience working in environments with multiple demands and the ability to multi-task
- The ability to work well with others and thrive in a team-oriented workplace, required
General Duties of the position:
- Review, track, prepare, and complete received orders
- Program pumps, ensuring compliance with orders
- Receive and answer inquires from various sources, such as; clients, care providers, delivery drivers, and suppliers
- Monitor supply levels, ordering when required, and restocking supplies
- Maintain inventory and order filing systems
- Prioritize orders based on deadlines and delivery runs
- Participate in on-call rotation: one weeknight from 6pm-9pm, and rotating weekends
- Assist team with other tasks and duties as required
