The Operations Manager, reporting to the Managing Director is responsible for the production, quality control, supply chain & procurement, receiving and shipping, as well as project engineering. Ensures implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Leads direct reports in their management and motivation of production employees to achieve the Safety, Quality and Production goals and objectives of the company. Provides a safe, clean work environment for all personnel.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Work with department leads to achieve operational goals.
· Guarantee the execution of the manufacturing process by verifying the personnel needs, the realisation of what is planned on time and guarantee the adoption of the necessary corrective actions in the event of non- fulfilment;
· Managing the resources of the Production area, ensuring the realization of the production budget;
· Identify critical processes and define ways and times to monitor and control them in order to determinate their repeatability, stability and rationalisation;
· Identify areas for operational improvement and implement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality.
· Organise plant set-up and routine maintenance activities;
· Define and implement continuous improvement activities;
· Ensures that all plant supervisors/team leaders attain an adequate level of competency in the areas of health and safety; handling employee concerns;
· Ensure the compliance with safety and hygiene regulations;
· Arrange and verify that all personnel in the area of responsibility are properly equipped and wear the personal protective equipment;
· Interface with the maintenance to ensure mould change flow and machinery efficiency;
· Ensure the control of the production process in compliance with the quality standards.

Person Specification
Qualifications/ Experience
Essential
· Degree in Engineering disciplines;
· At least 5 years of experience in Production area;
· Mechanical, electronic and technical drawing skills;
· Previous experience in managing team;
· Excellent knowledge of the English language;
· Good knowledge of Office Package
· Willingness to travel to foreign Group companies.
