We are looking for a passionate and energetic customer focussed, sales driven Outside Sale Professional to join our Vancouver-Island team. This is a full-time career opportunity taking over a long-term, well-established, successful territory with continued growth potential within the central Vancouver-Island area.
Compensation is based on a competitive salary plus commission system with unlimited earning potential, vehicle allowance, cell phone as well as a strong benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Develop, build and maintain relationships fostering a customer 1st focussed approach.
- Maximize sales opportunities using sales techniques, creative solutions and marketing tools available.
- Follow a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly sales call cycle with all customers
- Acknowledge and respond to all email, text and phone communication in a timely manner.
- Manage customer returns within your territory
- Communicate with management regarding calls, visits, orders, projects and growth opportunities.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quota.
- Continually monitor the industry and competitors for any changes or other notable activity
- Prospect, qualify, and open new accounts regularly
- Attend and participate in all sales department meetings, trade-shows, industry events as required
- Assist other sales professionals in their territories as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in sales
- A proven ability to exceed sales budgets, and increase sales
- A proven ability to manage customer relationships
- A proven ability to generate new business
- Superior interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of hardware and building supplies industry would be an asset
- Merchandising skills would be an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle are required
