Part Time Self Storage Associate & Maintenance Worker

We are looking for a long term, mature, proactive, part-time customer service associate and property Maintenance Worker for a storage facility located in Peterborough, ON.

We are looking for someone to work weekdays and weekends, approximately 10 - 15 hours/week. Hours are flexible.

This position is involved in all phases of the operation, including: renting storage & parking, assisting with maintenance, supervising onsite projects, and maintaining good relationships with tenants.

Part time Office Manager
- Minimum 10 hours per week - 7.5hrs one weekday, 3 hrs Saturdays, plus any shift coverage needed
- $17/hr
- Transportation needed, as location is not on a bus route
- Duties include:
Answering phones, emails and dealing with customers in person
_Showing Self-Storage units
Rental of storage units
Preparing rental agreements
Accepting payments for storage units/retail sales/Uhauls
Making Collection Calls
Making Uhaul reservations
Booking out Uhauls/checking them in
General cleanliness of facility_

- Must be able to assist customers with Uhaul trailer hookups, requires some occasional heavy lifting
- Ability to help with general maintenance of building a plus!

MUST have at least some basic computer skills, as needs to be able to cover the office. This includes:
_Answering phones and taking messages
Using the Uhaul site to book/send out reservations
Answering emails/facebook messages
Taking payment and showing units_

Part Time Maintenance
- Minimum 15-20 hours per week
- Transportation needed, location not on bus route
- Duties include:
_Maintain/repair units (doors, lights, etc.)
Keep building clean (swept/mopped/waxed)
Help maintain parking spots if/where needed
Mow lawn with rider/push mower/weed wacker
Shovel snow and salt when needed at doorways/to help customers get out of spots_
