Parts & Warehouse Assistant

Overview
Commercial Truck Equipment is looking to add a Full-Time Permanent Parts & Warehouse Assistantat our Calgary, AB branch location.

The Parts & Warehouse Assistant plays a key role in supporting production and operations by assisting in Shipping and Receiving operations, completing daily parts and material pick-ups for the service and production departments, maintaining an organized system of service and production parts at each service bay, and overseeing inventory of shop supplies.

Reporting to the Parts Manager, an organized, detail-oriented individual with knowledge of warehouse operations, manufacturing, and production with the ability to follow directions and complete tasks with minimal supervision would be an ideal candidate for this position. The successful candidate must have CSA Standard B335-15 - Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training, and we encourage all candidates with interest and direct or adjacent industry or job knowledge and experience to apply.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Loading and unloading trucks & trailers
• Moving equipment, maintaining an organized yard and warehouse
• Receiving: checking incoming shipments for accuracy & damage
• Shipping: packaging, arranging trucks & couriers, and documentation for local and US shipments
• Provision of support to the Parts and Production Managers when required
• General labour duties; warehouse and yard maintenance as required
• Following all health and safety procedures and regulations as directed by the employer

Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant will have a mix of the following qualifications and experience. Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and hit the ground running. We will consider candidates from all backgrounds and industries, providing familiarization and training for the right candidate.

• Valid CSA Standard B335-15 - Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training with a minimum of two years of forklift/lift truck experience is required.
• Valid Class-5 driver's license is mandatory; license above Class 5 is an asset
• Yard & Warehouse experience is mandatory
• Highly organized, detail oriented
• Works independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Physically fit, able to lift 50 pounds
