PERMANENT CARETAKER POSITIONS
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $23.92 – $25.12 PLUS A COMPETITIVE BENEFITS PACKAGE

Limestone District School Board, located on the shores of Lake Ontario proudly serves approximately 20,000 students at 49 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, and Limestone Community Education Centres in the Townships Central Frontenac, Addington Highlands, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Loyalist and Stone Mills, as well the Town of Greater Napanee, and Kingston and the Islands. Our school district covers a geographic area of 7,719 square kilometers and includes more than 3,000,000 square feet of Board facilities.
Position Overview
The Limestone District School Board prides itself on providing the best quality education for our students. Qualifications and Experience
Secondary school graduation diploma
Minimum of six months cleaning experience considered an asset
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required
If offered a position, you will be required to provide a current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check prior to beginning employment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, First Aid, Fire and Safety Standards and Procedures as well as security provisions.
Demonstrated working knowledge of basic cleaning methods, including ability to safely operate cleaning equipment.
Demonstrated ability to safely use ladders and scaffolding both inside and outside of buildings.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of word processing software, email, and the internet
Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and attend training/courses/professional development as required.
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to new and changing conditions, including continuous improvements.
Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality of information, practice tact and diplomacy.
Ability to work afternoon shifts during the school year with day shifts on non-instructional days (Summers/school breaks)
