Pharmasave on Center is a large busy drug store with a wide range of clients looking varied products. We are professional, inclusive and challenging.
We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team and provide support to our pharmacists. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing drugs, preparing medications, and assisting customers with their orders as well as being on the sales floor to assist customers in OTC and home care. This position requires excellent customer service skills, an ability to multi-task, and a strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and an understanding of the importance of accuracy in the pharmacy environment. Candidate must have min 2 years of current pharmacy experience with a current Canadian diploma.Knowledge with Compounding is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications and other health care products according to prescriptions.
- Assist in the preparation of medications for dispensing.
- Maintain records of medications dispensed and other transactions.
- Receive, store, and inventory pharmaceutical supplies.
- Maintain patient profiles, including allergies and current medications.
- Follow all applicable laws and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
- Assist customers on the sales floor in OTC
- Assist with home care products and customers.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
