KADA, is seeking three dedicated and skilled Pipelayers to join our Hamilton/Niagara team for the 2024 season.
This position is a full-time seasonal role and offers competitive wage with benefits. The primary responsibilities, duties, and expectations of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Strong working-knowledge of pipe lasers, transits.
- An understanding of proper bedding placement and pipe securement.
- Ability to evaluate and adjust work plan based on ground conditions.
- Understand and utilize various shoring methods and safe excavation practices.
- Have full understanding of City specifications for the task being completed.
- Set up core elevations on structures
- Experience with installation of high pressed concrete watermain aka CPP is an asset.
- Willingness to assist in various labour activities required such as setting up chains for rigging, operating small equipment such as plate tampers and jumping jacks, and installing precast structures
- Understand the required general maintenance of equipment in your scope of work requirements
- Valid Class G Driver's license
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work around live sanitary and storm sewers as needed
- Able to work Monday-Friday and when necessary overtime & weekends
- Valid WHMIS
- Valid working at heights certificate.
- Valid Confined Space Monitor/Entry training is an asset
