Pipe Layer

KADA, is seeking three dedicated and skilled Pipelayers to join our Hamilton/Niagara team for the 2024 season.

This position is a full-time seasonal role and offers competitive wage with benefits. The primary responsibilities, duties, and expectations of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Strong working-knowledge of pipe lasers, transits.

• An understanding of proper bedding placement and pipe securement.

• Ability to evaluate and adjust work plan based on ground conditions.

• Understand and utilize various shoring methods and safe excavation practices.

• Have full understanding of City specifications for the task being completed.

• Set up core elevations on structures

• Experience with installation of high pressed concrete watermain aka CPP is an asset.

• Willingness to assist in various labour activities required such as setting up chains for rigging, operating small equipment such as plate tampers and jumping jacks, and installing precast structures

• Understand the required general maintenance of equipment in your scope of work requirements

• Valid Class G Driver's license

• Able to work outside in all weather conditions

• Willingness to work around live sanitary and storm sewers as needed

• Able to work Monday-Friday and when necessary overtime & weekends

• Valid WHMIS

• Valid working at heights certificate.

• Valid Confined Space Monitor/Entry training is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $38.00-$46.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
