Jardeg Construction is currently recruiting for a Pipefitter Forepersonto join the Integrated Constructors Inc. maintenance team at the Bonnyville Fabrication shop, AB. This is a temporary full-time position with 5 days on 2 days off rotation with 48 hours a week.

Bonnyville: Fabrication Shop, Bonnyville Welding Ltd does fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.

For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. Our skilled and exceptionally experienced team ensures that the highest degree of quality, safety and material performance specifications are reliably met and rigorously adhered to in:

• Pipe fabrication, fitting & welding
• Module assembly
• Prefabricated & painted steel structural erection
• Electrical & Instrumentation

Responsibilities:

• Able to read and interpret Acorn & isometric drawings.
• Experienced pipefitter journeyperson with skills and ablility to lead team of journeypersons and apprentices.Assiging daily tasks and performing front line supervision for a crew of 8 to 12 workers.
• Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections and complete follow-up activities.Complete daily activity reports/daily logs and submit to Supervisor
• Promote and ensure the FLRA (Field Level Risk Assessment) process is conducted before every task with the crew.Review weekly servicing and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Reports back to the clients and/or the Project Manager on the progress of the job, the estimated time to completion and employee evaluations.
• Ensure all new hires/transfers receive required orientations. Attend and participate in site specific orientations (this can also fall under safety responsibilities but …)
• Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained
