Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.
SUMMARY
A Hydro Tester is involved in connecting pipe, hydro-testing, and rigging. This work may exist indoors or outdoors depending on the scope and is typically physically demanding.
Location:Fabrication Shop - Edmonton, AB
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Day Shift : 6:00am - 4:30pm
Rate: $26.19-$45.57 (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, pension, and education and training)
JOB DUTIES
- Tasks
- Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
- Select type of pipe, size of pipe, and systems by applying knowledge of system operation and following blueprints
- Perform pressure tests by increasing pressure in pipe systems and observing pressure gauges to test for leaks
- Install and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic components of machines and equipment, such as pumps and cylinders
- Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
- May perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working at a Fabrication Shop is considered an asset, but not required
- CSTS-09 or CSTS-20
- Forklift training
- Knowledge of hydro testing is an asset
- Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
- Able to work well in a team environment
