We're a new pizzeria in Little Portugal, downtown Toronto. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of pizza ingredients, sauce, and dough making. They should have excellent hand-eye coordination, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills are a must, as they will work in a team setting, communicating with other kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing ingredients and recipes as required
- Learning and executing the various steps of making the pizzas
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen
- Ensure food quality and adhere to health and safety standards
- Work in a team setting and communicate effectively with other kitchen staff
- Must be able to follow recipes and understand cooking procedures
- Ensuring all food and other items are labeled and stored properly
- Must be able to work weekends and a flexible schedule
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in making pizza
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be eligible to work in the Canada
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
