We are hiring for a Press Operator who will be responsible for facilitating the stamping and production of metal building products through the operation of stamping presses.
Responsibilities
- Daily inspections of press
- Load coil
- Feeding/loading coil
- Die setup
- Preparing labels for boxes
- Producing product using various presses
- Inspection of product
- Packaging product
- Stack boxes onto skids
- Complete production paperwork
- Report press or die issues to maintenance
- General housekeeping of work area
- Other duties as required
- Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Certifications
- Attention to Detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to work to meet deadlines
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
- Effective communicator with co-workers and all levels of management
- Forklift experience and certification (asset)
- Physical Demands; standing for long periods bending, twisting, heavy lifting 25-30kgs., noise (machinery, punch presses)
