Poplar Hills Golf & Country Club is looking for a Clubhouse/Pro Shop Manager for our upcoming 2024 Golf Season. As the Pro Shop Manager, your job would be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the golf course. You will be responsible for putting together a team of resolute individuals for the golf season in Fort Nelson.
The candidate should possess a background in business and marketing, have knowledge of the game of golf and deliver excellent customer service. The candidate needs to have excellent organizational and communication skills and must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. The candidate must be self motivated, show initiative and be able to work both independently and as a team.
WAGE - $35 - $40 Hourly plus fuel and cell phone allowance
DUTIES include but are not limited to:
- Opening & Closing the Golf Course for the season
- Hiring, training, and maintaining staffing levels within budget
- Scheduling for the Pro Shop
- Accounting for monies that pass through the Pro Shop & kitchen
- Preparing daily deposits and reports
- Entering daily sales
- Providing exemplary customer service which includes but not limited to greeting members and public, answering the phone, fielding, and directing inquiries
- Sales/processing of memberships, punch passes, green fees, shed rentals, cart rentals, and inventory along with recording of all such sales as directed
- Requisition and maintenance of inventory and supplies
- Booking tee times
- Registering golfers for league play and tournaments
- Setting out makers for league play and tournaments
- Inputting scores for league play and tournaments
- Assisting with tournament and event organization
- Communicating with grounds staff any tournament preparation and course closures
- Communicating with kitchen staff any tournament preparation and course closures
- Fueling, rotating, and cleaning golf carts
- Marketing of golf course, tournaments, and events through all means possible to increase membership and green fee players
- Preparing posters advertising tournaments and dedicated events
- Maintaining the Poplar Hills Facebook page with daily updates
- Maintain dress code
- Notify committee members of any concerns or problems
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Computer skills to include knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, email platforms, social media, POS software
- Knowledge of game of golf, rules, and tournament/league formats
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Salary: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
