Job description

As the Procurement Administrator, your job will be to coordinate and execute change implementation, working closely with other local and regional functions to successfully deploy Supply Chain business objectives, complete reconciliations and maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders.
GFL is fast paced and entrepreneurial driven, and you must be prepared to balance local/regional decision making with corporate oversite and best practices. The Procurement Administrator is a key contact and liaison for all internal and external inquiries related to Procurement managed vendor accounts and supports the Procurement team with research and data analysis. Through a collaborative process involving staff, vendors, category managers and internal stake holders, the Procurement Administrator is responsible for communicating research findings as well as any potential improvements to procurement throughout the organization, its facilities, operations and culture.


Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for assisting with research, reporting, and certain additional processes within the Procurement Department.
  • Assist the Procurement Team with vendor account clean up and requesting AP Exceptions
  • Review and add value to written documents needed for process improvements, policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Establish good mutually-supportive relationships with other Procurement team members, through formal and informal networking.
  • Challenge and support your peers as appropriate in day-to-day activities.
  • Work with your peers to ensure that key stakeholders receive consistent messages.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, high energy and commitment within the team.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4-year University degree
  • 0-2 years’ experience managing vendor relationships
  • Action oriented, and comfortable taking calculated risks to better serve our customers and business
  • Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement across our entire business
  • Interact with people inclusively by seeking different perspectives and engaging others.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and detail orientation when producing data and reports
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Possess self-discipline with the ability to effectively prioritize
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all levels of management and non-management personnel
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional and positive manner
