Pharmacy Assistant

We are looking for 2 reliable, enthusiastic and ambitious full-time Pharmacy Assistants to join our pharmacy team at CarePlus Selkirk Pharmacy. (373 Main Street, Selkirk, MB)

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team in providing quality patient care. Your duties will include assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, preparing medications for distribution, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

- Graduate from a certified community college Pharmacy Assistant program preferred.

- Experience working as an assistant in a community pharmacy in the province of Manitoba

- Basic computer skills with experience in Kroll Pharmacy Software preferred.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications to patients
- Prepare and package medications for distribution
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Enter prescription information into computer systems
- Answer phone calls and assist customers with inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Wages will be competitive and will be determined on experience and skill level. (Pharmacy Assistant $17-$24/ hour + Comprehensive Benefits + RRSP Match + Bonus)
