Pharmacy Assistant

- Part Time or Full timePharmacy AssistantPERMENANT position

-Greet customers and gather prescription information according to Standard Operating Procedures.

- Enter new prescriptions, or manage refill request processing, select medications, efficiently count or measure, package, and label prescriptions.

- May be required to reconstitute, or compound prescriptions, as directed by the pharmacist.

- Adhere to all PHIA confidentiality and privacy requirements.

- Answer phone & refer patients to the pharmacist when necessary.

- Submit & Receive medication orders & check drug expiry

- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Pharmacist direction, and adhere to all legal requirements, including provincial and federal regulations and bi-laws.

- Maintain cleanliness of work space.

Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Certificate from a Pharmacy Assistant course or Previous Pharmacy Experience is an Asset.

Hourly wage may differ according to experience
