Product Assembler

The Product Assemblerproduces products by assembling components and subassemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Studying assembly instructions and parts lists for assembly tasks; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positioning parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembling components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifying specifications by measuring completed components.
• Notifying the supervisor of any and all assembly problems.
• Keeping equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Informing supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintaining inventory of supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; notifying supervisor of inventory levels and requesting supplies.
• Familiarizing yourself with the tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment.
• Communicating with other stations in assembly to ensure maximum speed and accuracy.
• Maintaining equipment when necessary.
• Bundling and/or combining of products in retail packaging as appropriate.
• Assisting with shipments when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
