Company Overview
Atlas Power Technologies has been on a nearly 10-year journey developing and commercializing innovative energy storage technology. Specifically, we have developed a proprietary supercapacitor technology that is like a battery but has very significant inherent advantages. Supercapacitors offer incredibly long cycle life, generally over 1 million cycles, versus only a few hundred to a few thousand for batteries. Additionally, they offer the fastest charging and discharging speeds of any energy storage technology available today.
These advantages make supercapacitors a premium technology and form the basis for the business development of our company. Born from long-term collaborations with two of Canada’s top universities (Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia), we have developed proprietary and leading chemistries and systems for supercapacitor energy storage for various applications.
Now in the commercial demonstration phase of our journey we are fortunate to have industrial titans taking notice of our company and joining our team, serving as board members and investors. Having raised significant capital over the last few years, Atlas Power has been able to advance and move into its next phase of rapid growth.
