Location: Kingsville, ON
Wage: $16.55/hour (+4% vacation pay)
Shift: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm (Monday-Friday) and some overtime
Job Description:
- work at box making machine as assigned by the Production Supervisor
- Loader - adhere to all safety protocols, load flat cardboard into the machine and make sure there is enough flat board in the machine at all times to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity
- Stacker: Take completed boxes off of the machine, inspect them for quality and stack the finished boxes onto skids and prepare the skids to get picked up by a finished goods material handler.
- Conduct in-process checks at established intervals to ensure the product meets quality expectations.
- Accurately report production related information
- Report suspected quality issues to Production Expeditor or designate.
- Report machine issues to Production Expeditor or Maintenance staff for resolution.
- Discard scrap in the appropriate receptacle.
- Identify and communicate raw material quality issues to Production Manager and Production Planner.
- Comply with all company policies and safety regulations as required.
- Immediately report all injuries and other safety incidents.
Required: safety shoes and if selected you MUST interview face-to-face with our client
Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in a factory setting
- able to read/write/comprehend English
- Able to count accurately, as well as complete basic math with the use of a calculator
- detail oriented
- able to lift 20 lbs
- able to stand for entire shift
