Interprovincial Cooperative Limited (IPCO), a respected leader in the Agricultural industry, is currently recruiting Production Workers (starting pay $22.36/hr) and Operators (Chemical Formulator) (starting pay $25.12/hr) to join our team. What you’ll do:
Production Workers, under the guidance of Plant Supervisors, are responsible for safely packaging agricultural products, effectively leading a group up to 10 co-workers, and ensuring all safety and quality related activities are carried out according to procedures. Duties include but are not limited to: guiding, training, and delegating tasks to co-workers on the production line, meeting the packaging standards, manual handling of packaging materials, ensuring packaging equipment is operating efficiently, ensuring work area is tidy through general cleaning and housekeeping, maintaining accurate recordkeeping and inventory management initiatives, performing quality inspections throughout the entire packaging process, participate and contribute to plant/process improvement initiatives, reporting any issues to the supervisor or line leader, following all health and safety requirements including wearing personal PPE and ensuring co-workers are following the same standard, following all company policies and procedures and other company programs such as respectful workplace and contamination prevention, meeting expectations of the position, and performing all other duties as assigned.
Operators, under the guidance of Plant Supervisors, are responsible for safely formulating and packaging agricultural products, effectively leading a group up to 10 co-workers, and ensuring all safety and quality related activities are carried out according to procedures. Duties include but are not limited to: guiding, training, and delegating tasks to co-workers, processing chemicals, following instructions when batching and blending to make quality in-spec products, meeting the formulation and packaging standards, manual handling of materials, ensuring all equipment used is operating efficiently, ensuring work area is tidy through general cleaning and housekeeping, maintaining accurate recordkeeping and inventory management initiatives, performing quality inspections throughout the entire formulation and packaging processes, participate and contribute to plant/process improvement initiatives, reporting any issues to the Supervisor or line leader, following all health and safety requirements including wearing personal PPE and ensuring co-workers are following the same standard, adhere to all Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations, following all company policies and procedures and other company programs such as respectful workplace and contamination prevention, meeting expectations of the position, and performing all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work under pressure and in high-demand situations.
- Ability to lift up to 25kg floor to waist and 25kg waist to shoulders.
- Extensive lifting, walking, standing, bending, and pushing.
- Ability to perform manual labour and repetitive activities.
- Ability to operate powered mobile equipment such as a sit-down forklift, stand-up reach truck, scissor lift, floor washer etc.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and standing up to the entire shift.
- Ability to move about the work site to perform various job duties up to the entire shift.
- Ability to operate production and formulation equipment, handheld scanners, computers and calculators.
- Ability to work at heights and ascend/descend ladders, railcars, tank trucks, ISO’s, stairs, etc.
- Ability to position self (stooping, kneel, crouch or crawl) to offload rail cars, tank trucks, ISO’s, hook up fittings to tanks, etc.
- Ability to be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to wear half face and full-face respirator as required.
- Ability to work in isolation and with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Shift placement is to be determined based on operational requirements and will be one of the following shifts: Day shift 7am-3:30pm, Evening shift 3pm-11:30pm or Night shift 11pm – 7:30am.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading a team is preferred.
- Must possess good leadership skills along with the ability to mentor and train by providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle changing priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work in a team environment, a can-do attitude and ability to multi-task.
- Must be mechanically inclined and possess the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment. Experience using hand tools is required.
- Experience in blending / batch processing and experience using equipment under pressure is preferred.
- Working knowledge of transfer pumps is preferred.
- Experience offloading / transferring bulk containers is preferred.
- Solid work references, punctual/dependable with reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Quality Control and Inventory Control processes is preferred.
- Experience with hazardous materials preferred.
- Operational Excellence (Lean Manufacturing) knowledge is preferred and considered a valuable asset.
- Strong mathematical skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use imperial and metric system.
