Description
The Expressway Family Centre is seeking to fill a part-time maternity leave position.
Job Description:
- 20 hours/week
- Plan events and produce a rough draft of Program Guide activities for approval 2 months in advance (example: submit October guide in August; September submitted through OneDrive)
- Schedule weekly regular programming, per regular 4 week month. (Monday/Wednesday/Friday Drop in mornings 9:00am-12:00pm, 2 elementary after school age events (5-10 year olds), 1 toddler event, 1 evening adult class, 1 teen after school class.
- Advertise programs on Social Media- publicize events and take registration.
- Schedule and confirm facilitators and presenters for programming. Obtain receipts and bills for them as well.
- Provide a welcoming space for individuals and families by facilitating safe discussion and inclusive activities.
- Maintain program supplies (paper products, building supplies, etc.)
- Clean the EFC after programming (sweeping, mopping, bathrooms, garbage, dishes, etc.)
Work with the EFC board to organize fundraisers and assist with organization for outside committees when requested.
- Maintain building and upkeep. Any small task that can be completed with one person and with your skill set.
- Hire, supervise, and organize summer students and Spidey Sports leaders.
- Open and supervise Spidey Sports from 3:30pm-4:30pm (until April 24th, 2024 and start back up in November 2024)
- Organize summer programs in cooperation with the Summer student.
- Attend monthly board meetings and provide a monthly report. Coordinator will undertake Secretary position at board meetings.
- Participate in semi-annual performance reviews to keep an open discussion about expectations from employees and board members.
- Sign and abide by the Professional Code of Conduct for both employees and board members.
