Job description:
Program managers lead on Canadian Coast Guard programs, projects and initiatives. This includes providing advice on developing new, or improving current, services and polices.
Your work location would be one of our offices or bases in the Arctic. Please apply only if you are already living in, or willing to relocate to, the North.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of up to 40 members, as well as the team’s budget
- Representing the Canadian Coast Guard in working groups, committees and governance meetings
- Negotiating agreements with Indigenous governments and organizations, community groups, and other partners
- Leading engagement with partners and local communities
- Promoting and ensuring compliance with Government of Canada policies and regulations
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Secondary school diploma or a combination of education, training and experience
- Experience leading a team and managing a budget
- Experience working in the North or on Arctic-related files
- Significant experience in their team’s area of responsibility (for example, Indigenous relations, search and rescue, etc.)
- Goal orientated, collaborative, with a strong work ethic
- Enjoys leading a team
