The Opportunity:
WSP is seeking an Accounting Coordinatorto join our growing NSDF team. This role will give you the opportunity to manage accounts payable reports, collections, and resolve disputes promptly, and involves ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of financial results.
This opportunity is to join the WSP team responsible for the execution and construction of the Near Surface Disposal (NSDF) Project in Chalk River. The NSDF project represents a 5-year build of the low-level waste repository in Chalk River, with an estimated capital cost of more than $500M.
Please note we will consider candidates based in various locations throughout Canada, but this opportunity is based at the project site in Chalk River, Ontario

A day in the life:
- Ensure financial results are accurately reported and analyzed.
- Responsible for weekly/daily AP reports and collections and engages operations for resolutions of disputes and timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Work closely with PM’s, office managers and administrators to process accounting needs of projects and communicate changes that may impact their work.
- Provide internal assistance, including training, and financial analysis to operational and financial management where needed. Various financial reporting / analysis and related commercial / financial tasks as required.
What you'll bring to WSP ...
- Minimum 2 years’ Finance & Accounting or Supply Chain experience.
- Strong understanding of Excel and large data sets.
- Strong accounting proficiency in billing and invoicing.
- Cost reporting experience.
- Strong commercial knowledge and awareness.
- Experience working on-site on major construction projects an asset.
- Eligible for CNL Reliability Status Clearance (individual must have 3 full years of verifiable history in Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand and/or Australia).
