The selected candidate will be key to support the strategy and execution of the successful development of the project.

Location: Mississauga, ON.

Your role within the team:

• Oversee and lead Project Controls strategy.
• Participate in Building and ensuring Project Controls processes and procedures are in place.
• Responsible for smooth operation of project Schedule updates and Cost reporting.
• Earned value management.
• Identify key variances and corrective action planning.
• Report to Project Director.
• Ensure change control is performed.
• Lead a team of Planners and Cost controllers and conduct performance evaluations.

The ideal candidate:

• Must have relevant University degree (B.Eng, B.Com, PMP, MBA, etc).
• 15+ years of relevant Project cost and Schedule control experience, experience in engineering and construction projects environment.
• Proficient in MS office suite of software, especially in Microsoft Excel.
• Preferably thorough knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Ability to learn new software as per the company standards.
• Expert Knowledge of project management techniques and a number of years of hands on experience (i.e., critical path method, progress measurement and earned value technique) and experience in Project planning, analyzing and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills are required with attention to details.
• Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of the general Project Controls policies and procedures.
• Solid report writing, communication and presentation skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
• Ability to work well with Clients and Alliance partners.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work with staff, build and maintain good working relationships with Project Controls team.
• Ability to mentor junior and intermediate staff and work with senior project cost controller.
