Reporting to the Director, FRX Project, the Project Manager (known at Teck as Project Lead) is responsible for coordinating project management across multiple work packages. The FRX prefeasibility phase enables the planning and regulatory activities prior to mining which involves both desktop study work and field activities such as baseline data collection and exploration drilling. This is a temporary one-year position with opportunity to become permanent.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Contribute to the development of the overall project strategy including integration between project design, project execution, engagement and regulatory approvals
- Collaborate with work package leads to coordinate execution of the annual summer exploration program, including road and pad construction, geology and geotechnical drilling, baseline data collection, compliance with regulatory approvals, and safety supervision
- Manage project schedules, financial approvals and monthly financial forecast, including communication with project leadership
- Generate project management deliverables to ensure predictable outcomes and meet the requirements of the project delivery framework
- Drive and facilitate effective coordination across multiple work packages and subject areas
- Lead in the preparation of deliverables for the Business planning cycles (Life of Mine, 5+5-year plan, annual budgeting) and project phase funding requests
- Report on the progress of the project versus plan and manage project records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science, such as Forestry, Biology, Agriculture, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering, or other related field
- Professional accreditation, such as PMP, RPF, PBio, PAg, or registered, or eligible for registration, as a P.Eng with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia is considered an asset
- Minimum five years of work experience on projects including engineering design, environmental assessments, permitting, or construction, preferably with a portion in mining or a heavy industrial environment
- Knowledge of all aspects of project controls, project delivery, including prefeasibility and feasibility studies, detail design, procurement, construction, and commissioning

Salary Range: $96,800
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen and three professional references.
