You will report into the Director for Global Public Policy. You will be part of the team responsible for establishing Binance’s global policy positions supported by existing evidence and research on key issues, and articulating them for internal and external audiences.
Responsibilities
    • Supporting global government relations teams in building long-term, sustainable relationships by providing globally consistent policy positions, arguments, best practices and evidence to substantiate them.
    • Articulating Binance’s policy positions on key issues of interest for internal and external audiences.
    • Building and maintaining a stakeholder map and relationships with researchers, think tanks, community leaders, and other third parties to partner with on policy research.
    • Developing public policy frameworks and recommendations and principled positions on policy debates surrounding the digital assets industry through both in-house and external research.
    • Creating sound, data-driven policy recommendations and solutions that support our dual mandate to drive.
    • Working cross functionally with various internal teams, including local business leadership and units, public affairs, regulatory policy, communications, content, legal, product and others.
    • Collaborating with external stakeholders, including think tanks, academics, industry associations…etc to formulate, inform, and publicize Binance’s policy positions.
    • Analyzing proposed policy measures, and provide government affairs and business teams with guidance on impact, best practices, and engagement strategies that align with business priorities and long term strategy.
    • Translating technical/complex concepts and terms into accessible language that resonates with various audiences.
    • Preparing proactive and reactive analyses and reports on key policy issues of interest to the digital assets industry.
    • Authoring original research, thought pieces, contributions to policy publications, and opinion essays on key issues of interest
Requirements
    • 7-10 years of experience in financial services, academia, think tanks, preferably on the policy side, or relevant experience through education.
    • Exceptional writing skills: the ability to distill complex concepts into easily digestible language at various levels of technical aptitude.
    • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop evidence-based policy recommendations.
    • Ability to write and translate complex issues into simple language suitable for a range of audiences.
    • High level of organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and prioritize based on impact.
    • Familiarity with the crypto industry and technologies, the policy, and political environments that surround them; ability to get up to speed quickly on complex technical and regulatory issues.

The Team
The Central Policy team acts as Binance’s in-house think tank. We are responsible for establishing Binance’s global policy positions, providing policy counsel to our Government Affairs and business teams around the world, as well as central product and strategy teams. We produce in-house research and collaborate with leading think tanks and academics to research issues of interest surrounding the crypto and blockchain industry, and inform our public policy positions.
