Selig Canada, the leading manufacturer of lining materials for tamper-evident cap/closures in North America is growing and seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, primary responsibilities for the role of Quality Assurance Technician include the following:
· Perform Incoming and In-Process Quality Control Testing and documentation for daily production.
· Know when and what tests should be performed per FTM’s (Factory Test Methods), LTM’s (Laboratory Test Methods) and PTP’s (Plant Test Procedures) on all machines
· Operate and be familiar with calibration process for all test equipment involved with QA Department
· Process orders correctly for good traceability and correct information on Certificates of Analysis
· Recognize Non-Conformance material and follow procedure per ISO 9001:2015
· Know NCR Procedure on how to quarantine or reject material per ISO 9001:2015
· QA audits of processes on every shift
Knowledge/Experience:
· Previous experience in production/manufacturing environment is an asset, particularly in flexible packaging
Skills & Knowledge:
· Grade 12 or equivalent
· College Education and Quality Control / Assurance experience an asset
· Candidates must have strong command of the English language
· Strong analytical skills to assist with internal & customer issues
· Must have strong math, Microsoft Word and Excel skills
· Excellent communications skills essential for dealing with suppliers, customers and company personnel
· Ability to work within a team environment
· Ability to multi-task
· Must be willing to work rotating shifts
