The Position – Assistant for Maintaining and Growing the Regulatory & Quality System
With respect to all aspects of maxill’s operations, our quality systems help ensure we produce good quality of products and ensure consistency in all our operations and customer service. Our quality systems include GMP Quality Systems (with respect to Food and Drugs Act, Natural Health Product Regulations, Medical Devices Regulations, US Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and US Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspection of incoming parts and finished goods and, inspection of manufactured goods
- Accept/reject/quarantine parts and finished goods
- Assist in label approval and control.
- Perform QC on manufacturing processes
- Perform finished product testing and sampling
- Test products against specifications, perform calculations, record and analyze data
- Evaluate and manage N/C materials
- Assist in the develop, review and editing of SOPs
- Participate in design and development of new products
- Assist in maintenance of product files for all contract manufactured products.
- Conduct total heterotrophic count and rapid yeast and mold count testing on samples submitted to maxill.
- Conduct scheduled long-term testing of product manufactured on-site.
- Evaluate quality returns for device failure or non-conformance.
- Participate in the requests for Corrective and Preventative Action from vendors and other departments.
- Perform other quality or manufacturing related duties as assigned by senior management
Qualifications
Only those applicants meeting the following qualifications will be considered;
Required:
· Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control
· Experience in NHP and/or medical device GMPs
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Self-motivated and able to work independently.
· Knowledge and skills in laboratory practices including microbiological testing.
· Thorough knowledge and capability with MS Office Suite.
· Excellent attention to detail
Strongly Preferred:
· BSc in chemistry with microbiology background.
· Working knowledge in dealing with FDA, EPA and Health Canada
· Minimum 1 years’ experience in a GMP regulated environment
· Experience with developing SOPs
· Experience with healthcare regulatory affairs
· Experience with performing internal audits
· Familiarity and knowledge of Quality Management Systems

Assignment: Full Time

Hours: This position typically has day hours from 800 AM to 400 PM

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Salary: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
