SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for testing the ACD product line using Black Box testing methodologies. The QA Analyst will be responsible for testing our product line, which consists of Windows and macOS software products, iOS and Android mobile applications, Web Applications, and Websites.
Through collaboration with other QA and Engineering team members, the QA Analyst is responsible for creating a test strategy, test plan, and test cases that meet the needs of the high-quality standards set at ACD Systems.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will collaborate with Product and Project Management teams to ensure quality deliverables. This may involve participating in project planning, providing input on product design and functionality, and assisting in managing project timelines and resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define, document, develop, and execute black-box testing. Includes the development and execution of test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Test by comparing operation to documentation.
- Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, and inconsistencies in software.
- Recommend modifications and additions to product features.
- Work with Engineering to establish and verify benchmarks for program efficiency in operating and response times.
- Review hardware, operating systems, networking environments, and competitor software.
- Identify and build applicable hardware and test environments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must understand black-box testing methodologies.
- Technical knowledge of PC & Mac, networking, and operating systems.
- Technical knowledge of web technologies.
- Have test-strategy development skills, including creating test cases, with or without a specification document.
- Experience with testing tools and when their use is beneficial.
- The ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Effective problem-solving, analytical, and investigative skills.
- Experience working in an agile engineering environment (desirable).
- Careful attention to detail.
- Must have strong written and verbal English communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or related experience.
- 2+ years of QA experience in a formal testing environment (desirable).
- Experience working with remote English-speaking teams (desirable).

This position is at our Tuscany Village office at 1662 McKenzie Ave, Victoria, B.C.
This full-time position requires on-site work at our Tuscany Village location. Remote work or hybrid arrangements are not available for this role.
