We are currently seeking a Quality Engineering Co-Op to work out of our Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada R&D and manufacturing facility for a minimum of 8 months. Co-Ops at Hexagon Purus are fully-integrated team members working either in our research and development engineering department or our production and manufacturing department.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and evaluations to identify nonconforming material
  • Support the nonconforming material system to implement containment and dispositions
  • Check whether established control plans are adequate and effective in all phases of production
  • Maintain gage checking and calibration systems
  • Participate or assist in targeted studies of process capability, and gage repeatability/ reproducibility
  • Assist in the improvement of product and service quality by conducting root cause analysis, planning corrective and preventive actions, and verifying the results
  • Perform internal Quality Management System and process audits

Requirements:

  • Available for an 8+ month co-op term.
  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering program at an accredited college or a recent graduate of an engineering discipline.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Actively enrolled in a technical field of study such as mechanical or electrical engineering, computer science, math, or physics.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
  • Proficiency in modern desktop office software applications.


Compensation: $22CAD/hr
