With thousands of experts around the world and high-performance digital technology, ABB's team is dedicated to making measurement easy for its industrial and energy customers to let them operate more efficiently and profitably.By joining one of the largest engineering department in Quebec City, you will have the opportunity to actively participate in our company’s projects and product development.As a Project Engineer, you are responsible of a multidisciplinary project team, you coordinate the execution and guide the design of analyzers and remote sensors for process analysis, defense and security and aerospace missions.

Your responsibilities

  • Do the technical coordination of a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Hold weekly project meetings with the technical team with Agile methodology.
  • Follow up on technical actions and plan short-term schedules.
  • Assist the project manager in strategic and execution planning, as well as project costs follow-up.
  • Define the effort required to meet the objectives and follow-up on these estimates.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for the client.
  • Oversee system conformity and technical risk management.
  • Capture and manage system requirements for projects with various levels of complexity.
  • Collaborate with the Test and Integration team in defining and developing test plans as well as verification and validation strategies.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or the equivalent.
  • Background in infrared optical system development.
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a system leader on projects.
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others toward achievement of a common goal.
  • Strong analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Bilingual English and French, spoken and written.
