Receiver And Order Packer

A busy food wholesale distribution warehouse is looking for a shipper and receiver who wants to learn and grow with a young company.

This job is for someone that likes variety in their day to day. Daily activities include: picking and packing orders, while also receiving shipments and counting inventory to ensure shipments are accurate.

Occasional use online software to create purchase orders and schedule deliveries and pickups is also required - so some computer skills are necessary.

Role Responsibilities and Duties

• Receiving shipments regularly checking off items against purchase orders and unpacking pallets
• Unloading containers
• Counting and organizing inventory
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Provide excellent customer service
• Handling stock with care to avoid damages
• Order picking of products and preparing shipments
• Be able to lift heavy items (up to 50lbs) as this job entails lifting on a regular basis

Qualifications/Job Requirements

• Team player who also works independently
• Some experience in a warehouse is an asset (minimum 1-2 years)
• Forklift experience considered an asset (willing to train)
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft office, Internet Applications)
• Positive and friendly attitude, respectful and self-motivated
• Ability to read and converse in English
