Restaurant Associate Manager

At Dark Horse Estate Winery, we’re in the business of trailblazing. We established the first estate winery on the shores of Lake Huron in Huron County, a brand-new wine region. Continually evolving, we’re the dark horse in this race and we are looking for someone passionate about delighting our guests from around the world with an elevated winery experience at every touchpoint.

We are searching for an Associate Manager with strong knowledge of the fine-dining restaurant industry willing to jump right in and take the lead on the dining floor.

Join our hospitality team supporting our new fine dining, farm-to-table restaurant; Danu Cellars nestled next to the barrel cellar in the Estate Manor on the 35+ acre Estate Winery.

Job Requirements:

· 2+ years of fine-dining experience

· Manage reservations

· Manage flow for bookings

· Train Staff and scheduling

· Ordering supplies in timely manner

· manage booking system and communicate to staff

· Smart Serve Certification

· Wine knowledge and food knowledge

· Understanding of restaurant management

· Farm to table ingredient passion

· Bar knowledge

· Food handlers preferred but not required

· Evening and weekend availability.

· WSET an asset

Skills: Organizational skills, taking initiative, team player, customer service, communication skills, guests are here for the experience and our staff is a huge part of that, we want someone who takes that to heart and takes ownership and pride in what they do.

Responsibilities:

· Ensuring guest satisfaction

· Sharing knowledge of menu items and flavors, enable guests to make personal decisions based on taste and interest

· Taking orders and relaying to the kitchen

· Serving food and beverages (Including proper wine service)

· Setting and clearing tables

· Ensuring restaurant is maintained and always presentable

· Preparing bills and processing payment

· Ensuring every guest that walks in our door has a memorable experience and can’t wait to come back

· Other duties as required (Banquet, events, etc.)

Wage: $25.00 + per hour (depending on experience).
